The Four Personality Styles                                                                                                        

Different personality types work, communicate, and react in very different ways. Studies on style differences found they accounted for 87% of workplace conflict. Operating from different typological orientations is the single largest cause of conflict between two persons because they are not naturally wired to communicate to each other's style. When you add to the mix generational, cultural, and gender differences, it can get stressful and unproductive.

When people understand the differences in personality style, the unique characteristics that each style brings to the table and how each style communicates differently, then conflict and tensions subside dramatically. The result is real collaboration and teams running on all cylinders.

DESCRIPTION: In this course you will examine the four basic personality/ communication styles and how the styles blend, clash and interact with others. You will identify your own style, participate in individual and group activities and learn how to communicate better and appreciate the unique strengths and differences of others.  As a result, you will become a better leader, communicator, team member and gain key strategies to create highly effective interpersonal relationships at work and beyond.

  • Describe the common preference of other styles and how to adapt to their needs.
  • Recognize the differences in how style affects communication, goals and stress
  • Identify the best ways to leverage and work effectively with different personality styles.
